Description: This poor bunny was found as a stray, outside. The woman who found him was able to just pick him right up and she calls him a "snugglebunny." Right from the beginning he would eat out of her hand, lick her, run around on the couch while she's sitting on it, and play with toys that she gave him. He's definitely been someone's house pet to be so well adjusted. To top it off, Snickers is already house trained! Even if he's running around the house he'll go back to the cage to use the litterbox. If he starts to get interested in cables/wires or something else that he shouldn't, you can just say "huh uh!" and he immediately leaves it alone and goes about his business elsewhere. He is the perfect pet rabbit. He is calm and friendly and would do well in most any household. In his new foster home, he lives with one small dog and gets along great with him.
Snickerdoodle is waiting to be vetted and neutered before going to a new home but feel free to put in your applications today!

For house bunny cages, we recommend a large wire dog crate with removable plastic floor- less expensive than bunny cages, easy to clean and roomier! We would encourage you to consider this type of housing instead of expensive store bought rabbit cages whose design defeats function...
House rabbits are a lot of fun but please make sure you are ready for the commitment. Bunnies can live for 10 years or more when properly cared for, make sure you've included your new pet in all your plans for your future. Bunnies are not cheap pets and require fresh salads daily- a rabbit Snicker's size eats approximately a cup of chopped greens and veggies (with a little bit of fruit) every day. This is the most expensive part of upkeep and along with orchard type (not alfalfa) hay is the most important part of their diet. Pellets are a supplemental food and are not to be considered the staple of their diet.
In order to adopt a rabbit from STAR, you must either have prior experience or have a firm understanding of HOUSE rabbit care showing that you have researched and are prepared for the responsibility. We will help you if you have any questions!
