*Tally is Declawed!*
*Tally is available for free adoption! No fee!*

Tally spends most of his days looking out the window hoping someone will give him a permanent home where he will be loved. After a long adjustment period full of learning and fun, Tally has come to find that life can be good again after being removed from his owner's home, and the only family he has ever known. This declawed, neutered cat is around 3 years old and has been displaced as his "dad" was deployed to Korea. Tally took this change hard but has become comfortable in his foster home and we're confident he will adjust to a new home in no time!

Tally needs a caring, patient home without many other pets and preferably no young children because he is not used to them. This might change as he expands his comfort zone but for now, he's just not ready for a busy home. He can be shy at first but once he comes around he's loyal and friendly. He's very people oriented and loves affection, though he can also be independent- like any cat. Tally is quite playful. especially if you have a wand toy, which he loves to roll around with on the floor and chase from room to room with you. When left to his own devices he sometimes carries little socks or stuffed animals around. Otherwise Tally can be found sitting in a window or exploring the house like a little gray and white shadow, popping out of nowhere to meow at you and demand that you feed him "right NOW!"

Tally went to a home visit for a potential adopter and showed some amazing adaptability.  He quickly began wandering the home rather than hiding or being aloof.  After an hour and a half, his foster parents left the home with high hopes for his future; sadly, Tally got scared and was quite upset after his family left him behind and the applicant declined the adoption in about five minutes because of his stressed hissing/growling (wouldn't you be upset if your life had been turned upside down without your consent or understanding?)  If you intend to adopt Tally, know that it may take him a long time- weeks or months- before he settles in.  He deserves a patient and loving home that will accept him for the complex boy he is!

******
Tally is declawed and neutered, up to date on his vaccines, has been tested for feline Leukemia and FIV and is negative. He is microchipped and his bags are packed and waiting by the door. If you feel like you can give this precious boy a loving home, he is ready to go!
